Science and imagination by Ishita Sharma

how I wonder what you are //

But the thing is, we don’t wonder anymore. Science has already found what was left to wonder.

We have come far; too far, passing all the points of no return; shattering through imagination and leaving nothing to wonder about.

But then reality is a bit stranger than imagination. The concept of refraction is weirder than the pot of gold that the Leprechaun owned.

Maybe that’s why we stopped imagining. Imagination got tired of being outdone.

Maybe that’s why when Fairy Godmother descended on Earth that night, and saw the little kids that she loved with all her heart, reading science books and memorising facts, she was heartbroken.
