Man charged with manslaughter after Arjun Singh death

A man from Nottingham has been charged with the manslaughter of Nottingham Trent University student Arjun Singh following an attack on Saturday morning.

Arjun Singh, 20, died on Sunday 19 January after an attack on Angel Row in Nottingham city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Mathiwos Tekle, 20, from Nottingham, has been charged with manslaughter, robbery and supplying a controlled drug.

Two other men were arrested on Monday, January 21, in connection with Arjunā€™s death.

Aron Kahsai, 23, from Nottingham, is charged with offering to supply a controlled drug.

He has been released on bail following the charge.

The third man has been released without charge.

Tekle is due to appear at Nottingham magistrate’s court today, January 22.
