NTU’s Women’s Rugby Union team failed to bring home the win against a tough UoN in this year’s Varsity.
One of the biggest whitewash defeats in Trent happened at The Lady Bay last night as the Trent ladies were unable to hold back an impressive University of Nottingham side.
UoN gained an early lead with a try in the second minute of the game.
The score got to 24-0 after 24 minutes of play and it wasn’t looking good for the Trent girls.
In the 29th minute the Trent army finally found a way through the UoN back line and managed to convert as well.
These were Trent’s first and only points of the evening as UoN continued their fine form in the second half.
It ended 96-5 to UoN at The Lady Bay, just four short of the century.
Congratulations are in order for an emphatic victory by the University of Nottingham.
