Taking place on a Friday or Saturday ensuring lectures aren’t going to get in the way and competing against teams from all across the UK, this could be a great flatmate bonding session. Including the National Ice Centre, with its student discounts, is a constant winter sport throughout the month. With tickets available directly on the Nottingham Panthers website.

From the woman who gave us ‘Strange’ Celeste comes to our Student Union as an album release show for ‘Women of Faces’, focusing on her new studio album. Celeste’s new album explores a relationship coming apart and yet having resilience to continue to move forward. The gig will take place before the release of the album which comes out on the 14th of November. Should be noted that for your £24 you are likely to be having a shorter gig, estimated at around 45 minutes as it is focused on this specific album rather than her broader discography. Tickets are available through the Level website.

While I certainly do love a Unit Monday, I wasn’t pleasantly surprised by the touring DJ that they host on some Saturdays as they give a welcome change to the music scene. Having performed all across the world including Creamfields, NYC and Vancouver D.O.D will be returning to Nottingham’s Unit 13. If you are looking for a different night out from the same weekly club nights D.O.D’s EDM setlist. Tickets are available through websites Fatsoma and Skiddle.

Interested in overpriced market stalls, a frozen ice bar or perhaps sliding down a Helter skelter with the price at the bottom being a refreshing drink. The return of Nottingham’s Christmas market is perfect for you. You may walk through the twinkling lights, fair ground rides and market stools. Yet if you want further participation you will have to cough up money. But there is a large amount of things to do if you want to pay, from ice skating and frozen bars. With tickets purchasable at the event.

Continuing on a rapid increasing rise after the release of her highly anticipated album discussing topics of the 2008 crash, body image and much more.
