A Nottingham bouncer has been suspended after a TikTok video went viral of him appearing to punch a clubber outside a venue.
The footage that was originally uploaded last Thursday (October 30) showed the man in an altercation with the male clubber.
The victim – who was dressed for a Halloween event – was filmed falling and not getting up.
Nottinghamshire Police said the incident has been reported to them and investigations are ongoing as the man suffered a head injury.
PC Lindsey Webster said: “The victim suffered an injury to his head that could’ve quite easily been far more serious.
“He was reportedly assaulted by a member of door staff outside a nightclub in the city centre, which we know will have been witnessed by multiple people.”
A bouncer has since been suspended with immediate effect.
A Unit 13 spokesperson said: “We are aware of an incident involving two members of the security team and a member of the public outside the Unit 13 premises on October 29 2025.
“We take all incidents of this nature extremely seriously.
“The member of security that was involved has been suspended with immediate effect and an ongoing investigation is now underway.”
The original video was viewed more than one million times but has since been taken down on request of the police, as sharing the footage any further could jeopardise the ongoing investigation.
Another man was reportedly pushed during the same incident, with police now appealing to the public for information as part of their inquiries.
Witnesses are being encouraged to share any information with the police by calling 101, quoting incident 323 of 30 October 2025, or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
