Wallis Bird’s ‘What’s Wrong With Changing?’ is an enthralling lead for her seventh studio album

The Irish born singer is releasing her seventh studio album later this month, as her lead single gives a glimpse at what looks to be an exciting piece of art.

This song has a powerful beat from start to finish, with a prevalence of politically important messages within the lyrics. It makes you stop and listen, while enjoying the bold spirit jumping out through the song. From Wars to Gay Marriage, this piece celebrates the changing times, while acknowledging the issues across the world which Wallis Bird witnessed while growing up.

Wallis has a string of unapologetic workings and this hit is one to be proudly added on the list. It can only simply be described as a dynamic beat with meaningful words, mixed with a compelling voice.

Wallis Bird, said: “The song is about the milestones of my life: living in London, getting to know other cultures as a young person, to Ireland breaking free from State and Church and voting in gay marriage in such a stark Catholic Country.

“In my short life there have been huge changes and social structures have been dissolved and I have said over and over: what is wrong with changing, there is nothing in this world that is not changing, so I think let’s move with the change.” 

Wallis Bird has released six albums since 2007, for which she’s won two Meteor Awards, Ireland’s annual music prize and mostly recently for Best Female Artist. Wallis has international success from a prestigious 2017 German ‘Music Autoren Preis’ (Music Author Prize).

The track forecasts a successful seventh studio album, which will be a delight to listen to in May later this year. This upcoming vocal artist who is one to watch out for in 2022.
