Robin Hood production to be postponed until 2021

This year’s pantomime of Robin Hood at the Theatre Royal Nottingham has been rescheduled to December 2021, due to theatres not being reopened.

The production of Robin Hood was due to run from 5 December 2020 until 10 January 2021.

The Theatre Royal Nottingham and Qdos Entertainment – the pantomime producer – took the decision to reschedule the performance to December 2021.

Councillor David Trimble, Portfolio holder for Leisure, Culture and IT in Nottingham City Council said: “The pantomime at the Theatre Royal has always been the biggest, most spectacular Christmas production in the region with sell-out audiences across the run.

“Unfortunately, the uncertainty that the current situation brings means we would be unable to replicate this on stage or within the auditorium this year.”

It is not certain whether the theatre will be able to undertake a full-scale production due to circumstances, however they are exploring other options with their pantomime partner if the situation changes near Christmas time.

Customers who purchased tickets for the production will be contacted directly by the venue to confirm the new date and time of the rescheduled performance.
