Jack Harlow executes a First Class performance at Rock City

Jack Harlow visited Nottingham for the first time to perform at Rock City on November, 8 as part of his tour showcasing his latest album Come Home The Kids Miss You.

Not only did Jack leave an impression on the crowd but they left an impression on him as he stated the gig may be one of the top two of his tour.

Rock City was the place to be with a sold out concert. The opening act was R&B singer, Nippa, hyping the crowd up for Jack to take the stage. Many were annoyed at the 30ā€“45 minute break in between Nippa’s set and the headliner. However, Jack seemed to win people over with his interactive and enthusiastic performance.

The crowd was full of energy helping set the tone from singing and screaming to dancing along with the rapper.

He had clearly done his research on Nottingham as well, asking the crowd their opinions on Notts County FC.Ā Throughout the concert he paused to interact with the audience, which was scripted in a way that smoothly transitioned from song to song, giving the crowd the chance to guess what heā€™d sing next.

He kicked off his set with one of his biggest hits to date ā€œDua Lipaā€ leading on to ā€œFirst Classā€. Ā Jack performed songs from his previous albums, ā€œThatā€™s What They All Sayā€ and ā€œSweet Actionā€ as well as others from his discography for his day one fans.

He discussed how in his younger years he knew that one day he would be a topic of conversation when pop music was brought up. Jack kept working towards this goal, progressing from a boy making music in his room to a singer selling out headlining concerts. He expressed his gratitude to his fans who spent their hard-earned money to buy his tickets, his crew, and the security team for looking after the concert-goers.

Although most were gushing over the showā€¦ and him, few were disappointed that the set was too short, as it only lasted an hour to an hour and a half.
