Rock City bouncers suspended after video of man being assaulted emerges on social media

Multiple Rock City bouncers have been suspended after a video of a customer being assaulted was shared on social media.

The incident is said to have occurred at the nightclub Rock City on Talbot Street in Nottingham’s city centre on Friday, August 13.

The footage shows door staff repeatedly punching and kicking a man while he remains on the floor before being dragged off the nightclub floor.

In the viral video, which has already received over 10,000 views, a woman can also be seen being held back by a bouncer while two others continue to hit the male customer.

A DHP Family spokesperson, which runs Rock City, Bodega, Rescue Rooms, and Stealth, said: “We are aware of the incident and are working directly with police to resolve this.

“We take matters such as this very seriously, and the welfare of our attendees is always our main priority.

“The doormen in question were immediately suspended, and we are in dialogue with the company we subcontracted them from so that appropriate measures can be taken.

“We strive to make Rock City a fun, welcoming and safe environment for anyone who visits us, and we do not tolerate this kind of behaviour.”
