Light rain and heavy winds failed to keep students from both Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham away from the 2022 Notts Varsity Football fixture.
The spectators were treated to an entertaining fixture on Wednesday afternoon at Basford United’s Greenwich Avenue home where NTU ran out 2-0 victors.
Second-half goals from Tom Jones and Jack Gibson provided Trent the victory to lift their overall Varsity score.
