Our Coachella 2023 outfit trend predictions

California’s fashion-forward music festival, Coachella 2023, is kicking off tomorrow for two weekends, bringing along top-chart musicians, track-charter and underground, for everyone to enjoy, and the opportunity for trendsetters to dress to impress.

Here are the top Coachella 2023 fashion trends predicted to be seen this year at the Empire Polo Club:

Mesh/Sheer:

With mesh and sheer becoming notable fashion materials appearing in spring fashion trends with rising temperatures, it’s no surprise that sheer/mesh clothing may help festivalgoers survive the overwhelming heat while making a fashion statement – two birds. Swimwear has also been a festival classic which, depending on the item, can make a cohesive and truly memorable outfit.

Sundresses:

We expect to see sundresses of all varieties as a huge staple for Coachella 2023. As white rompers were hugely popular in Coachella 2022, Coachella 2023 could be the year for pastel colours and florals, both steadily making their way into the high street. As rosettes have been a prominent accessory that has been appearing on trend innovators, we can surely see them being a popular alternative for a typical necklace.

The Cowboy Attire:

We haven’t seen the last of cowboy boots and hats this upcoming weekend, however possibly with a unique spin. As denim on denim has been seen on the high street and in high fashion, we could see some festivalgoers embodying a full Texan cowboy perfect to symbolise the scorching Californian heat.

Mini and Baggy:

At Coachella, we can expect mini tops with larger bottoms this festival season. A majority of bottoms (trousers, skirts, etc) are large, and with the popularity of midi skirts, we can expect a unique dynamic of different and creative pairings this festival season.

With the emphasis being combined comfort and stylishness, Coachella-goers can mix and match to get the perfect blend to make a statement from the crowd. As miniskirts and skorts were popularised in the winter, they may pop up in some Coachella outfits this year as a cool (literal and metaphorical) outfit piece.

As Coachella is a time when you can let your creativity roam wild, it will be interesting to see the standout outfits from this year, outfits that don’t follow the crowd but let their festival look define themselves.

Regardless, everyone will be looking forward to the stacked music cast across all three days, the spring-summer sun, and most importantly, the iconic fashion looks.
