Lacehouse to hold three-day event amid fears Nottingham heading for Tier 3

Starting Friday 23 October and ending Sunday 25 October, Lacehouse is due to hold three events for Halloween, Boxing Day and New Years amid fears Nottingham will go into lockdown next week.

With the expectation Nottingham are heading into a tier three lockdown, resulting in the closure of pubs and bars ā€“ unless they can operate as a restaurant ā€“ as well as the banning of households mixing indoors and the rule of six applying in outdoor spaces.

Therefore, Lacehouse have decided to hold this three-day event so they are able to make money in order to survive if they shut.

Lewis Jones, Manager of The Lacehouse said: ā€œThe government are making it almost impossible to operate, we have 15 members of staff who need hours which we can provide anything like we used to be able to.

ā€œRent still has to be paid, how can we do this when not being able to open?ā€

The first night out of the three ā€“ The Lacehouse Haunted House ā€“ will see a mix of House, RnB, Hip Hop and Disco music on offer, as well as some special Halloween cocktails and spooky treats.

Night two ā€“ The Lacehouse Festive Boxing Day Special ā€“ you can get down to some of your favourite festive hits provided by one guest and Lacehouseā€™s resident DJā€™s.

The third and final night ā€“ The Lacehouse NYE Masquerade Party ā€“ its your time to dress to impress in your best dress for the New Years Eve party of the year.

Lewis added: ā€œBy no means are we promoting this weekend as a big blow out, weā€™re just saying with no clue if key dates such as Halloween, Boxing Day & NYE will go ahead, letā€™s have them all this weekend.ā€

The Lacehouse currently have an operating table service, social distance measures in place, track and trace and regulation sanitation of the entire venue.

Prior to Covid-19 measures, The Lacehouse could vacate for 500, however the venue is now only limited to 75 people with tables 1.5m apart.

To go this weekend, you can book in groups for four or six people from the same household with prices varied.
