Francesca Louise set to make her Nottinghamshire debut at Gate to Southwell Festival

Indie folk singer-songwriter Francesca Louise makes her Nottinghamshire debut this weekend at Gate to Southwell Festival, located in Kirklington.

This international roots and acoustic music festival is running from Thursday, June 29 to Sunday, July 2, with over 50 artists performing over four days on three main stages.

Francesca Louise appeared as a contestant on The Voice UK 2022, picking Sir Tom Jones as her coach. However, she began performing up and down the country before this, playing acoustic sets and festivals including How The Light Gets In Festival, with some of her other personal highlights including supporting James Walsh of Starsailor and Chris Helme of The Seahorses in iconic venues such as St Pancras Old Church.

With her most recent single The Sea being described as melancholic and soulful, Francesca hopes that her Nottinghamshire debut will welcome new listeners, joining her in her already successful journey as a musician.

After releasing new music in 2022, Francesca gained her first BBC Radio 2 airplay with Jo Whiley, cementing her well-deserved position in the industry and confirming that we will be hearing a lot more from her in the future.

Francesca Louise will be playing across three days at Gate to Southwell Festival, appearing at the Frontier Stage on Friday, Folk Stage on Saturday, and Steeples on Sunday.

Taking vocal influence from the likes of Carole King and song writing influence from Joni Mitchell and Lucy Rose, her sets will not want to be missed.
