Nottingham Trent University claimed victory in the ‘Battle of Notts’ Varsity Ice Hockey match at a well-attended Motorpoint Arena on Bank Holiday Monday.
Despite trailing twice in the match, a stunning response in the third period saw NTU fight back against the University of Nottingham and win 5-2 at the final buzzer.
It marked NTU’s first win since 2017 in the flagship Varsity event, and was met by plenty of appreciation from those in pink present on the night.
