What’s on: NTU Wellbeing Week 2021

This week is Wellbeing Week here at Nottingham Trent University. Over seven days, the NTSU will be holding several events which aim to encourage students to take a break from their studies and make mental health and wellbeing a priority.

Here’s a rundown of all the events you can sign up for:

Tuesday 9th March

Eating Disorders & You!

This interview with Rob from First Steps, a multi-award winning eating disorder charity, will give an insight into eating disorders and help available to anyone who needs it.

Start time: 10am

NTU Sport Yoga

Relax and unwind with NTU Sport’s yoga session! Whether you’re a novice or an expert, this event is definitely worth booking.

Start time: 12:15pm

Wednesday 10th March

Look After Your Mates Workshop

This important workshop covers how you can look after your friends’ mental health, as well as your own.

Start time: 1pm

Employability Pictionary

Take a break from your university work and join the Employability team in a fun game of Pictionary. All you will need is Microsoft Paint or a similar drawing app!

Start time: 2pm

Life Drawing

If you fancy yourself to be an artist, join illustrator and Senior Art and Design Lecturer Laura Quick for a virtual Life Drawing class.

Start time: 3pm

NTU Sport Yoga

Thursday 11th March

Peaks Challenge on NTU Moves

This walking challenge has some great prizes for those who complete it! To be in with a chance, walk the distance of Ben Nevis or go all the way to cover the three peak distance. Three random winners will be picked from everyone who completes the one peak and three peak challenges. See the NTSU website for more information and to view the full list of prizes.

Rock Painting

Join the university’s Mental Health Champions for a relaxing rock painting session. All you will need is some large rocks, some paint and some brushes!

Friday 12th March

Self-Defence Class

Back by popular demand, the last formal event of Wellbeing Week will be a fun self-defence class

Start time: 7:15pm
