Nottingham Varsity is BACK, as the 2023 series kicks off with an almighty clash between old foes Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham.
A sold-out Motorpoint Arena is the stage for a historic meeting between NTU and UoN, with ice hockey the biggest event in every Varsity series and a surefire way to get new inductees acquainted with the spirit of the event.
The boys and girls in pink were victorious after an astounding comeback last year when they beat UoN 5-2, but it was those in green and gold who were laughing by the end of the series by snatching a 10-7 overall victory.
