A Nottingham Street has now re-opened after a mass evacuation due to a gas leak.
Police attended the scene at around midday on Talbot Street, which had been closed from Canning Circus junction to Clarendon Street junction.
There were a number of properties in the area which had been evacuated due to a gas leak.
One property that was affected was private student accommodation Nova.
The gas company has provided a temporary fix with plans to permanently resolve the issue.
All road closures have now been re-opened.
