‘Boy In Da Corner’: Dizzee Rascal to headline Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena alongside debut album reissue

Never to have been an artist defined by boundaries set within the music industry, rapper Dizzee Rascal, for many, will have acted as a recognisable soundtrack to their youth. Possessing a poignant and timeless voice, he has significantly shaped British music in the past two decades.

Now, after the release of his debut album ‘Boy In Da Corner’ in 2003, Dizzee Rascal is marking its 20th anniversary with a series of live shows, including an unmissable visit to Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on October 6, 2023.

The show will be followed by dates at Cardiff’s CIA and Newcastle’s Utilita Arena, succeeding a sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena which took place in March this year.

With his performances being described as “crisp, undated and still fizzing with ideas” by The Evening Standard, it’s clear that Dizzee’s pioneering efforts in the British music industry are still able to make an impact on the masses 20 years later.

Therefore, his headline show at the Motorpoint is one not to be missed as Dizzee continues to cement his position as one of the main pillars in grime music.

The Mercury Prize Winner is also marking the anniversary of his debut album, which features some of the artists best-loved tracks including ‘I Luv U’ and ‘Fix Up, Look Sharp’, with its reissue.

With this staple album being first released when Dizzee was just 18 years old, the two-volume deluxe reissue features rare and previously unreleased material alongside the original.

Tickets for Dizzee Rascal’s show at the Motorpoint Arena on October 6, 2023, can be purchased from Ticketmaster or the official Motorpoint Arena website.

‘Boy In Da Corner (20th Anniversary) Deluxe’ can be streamed on all streaming sites today and you can pre-order the vinyl on Dizzee Rascal’s official online merchandise store.
