The 2022 Notts Varsity series continues this afternoon as Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham go head-to-head in the football at Basford United’s stadium.
UoN have an early lead in this year’s Varsity series having won American Football, Rugby League and Women’s Lacrosse; NTU claimed victory in the Men’s Lacrosse.
After an absence of two years for Varsity, Trent will be looking to reclaim local honours having been beaten 1-0 in 2019.
That proved to be a rare moment of success in Football for UoN with Trent coming out on top in nine of the last 12 matches between them.
