Coming off a very respectable draw down at Surrey last week, Nottinghamshire are aiming to steer themselves even further away from the dreaded relegation spots currently occupied by Middlesex and Northamptonshire.
Hampshire, meanwhile, are looking for further momentum in their title push, with the south coast county currently fourth in Division One, just 26 points away from leaders Surrey.
