The festive season is upon us and we’ve all had that frustrating moment when we’ve gone through the million outfits in our wardrobe but still can’t find that perfect dress to wear to the party tonight.
We’ve got your back! Here is a list of this season’s five best party outfits and makeup looks to go with them:
First up, is a rose print velvet playsuit from Urban Outfitters. At £42, it’s a lovely piece; stylish and comfortable to wear. With this look, you could opt for a bold red lip, like The Balm’s Meet Matt(e) Hughes in Loyal or Brat Pack by Lipstick Queen.
The next outfit staple is a skirt from Kate Moss’ high street collaboration, Reserved. Perfect for the festive season ,it retails at an affordable £19.99. As for the perfect make-up look for this outfit, the question you have to ask yourself is “What would Kate Moss do?”. A nude lip with a more adventurous statement eye look; like a metallic turquoise winged eyeliner (found at Lush for £14.95) would go well with this look.
When it comes to ‘going out’ clothes, TopShop never fails us. And this next outfit, perfect for a night out, is no exception. An alternative to the ‘Little Black Dress’. this playsuit –with gorgeous lace detailing- shows the right amount of skin without being too revealing. In the makeup department, a pop of colour like a purple eyeshadow, paired with a nude lipstick would do well to balance out the one-tone black of the dress.
If you’re looking for something more formal, Chi Chi London gives us this beautiful navy maxi with lace detailing. A stunning dress it makes anyone feel like a princess for the night. When it comes to makeup, there’s so much to go for with this look,; go all out with gold eyeshadow and a bold lip or keep it subtle and let the dress do all the talking. It’s totally up to you!
Last, but not least is a sexy yet elegant cranberry dress. The perfect colour for the holidays, this satin outfit is versatile and can be worn for all sorts of different occasions. It makes for a perfect pair with a burgundy lip and a bronze eyeshadow. Charlotte Tilbury’s crayon eyeliners in Amber Haze Kevyn Aucoin’s Bloodroses lipstick are two makeup products to pair with this look if you don’t mind a hefty price tag.
