Sam Ryder: Intimate Performance Review

Sam Ryder took over The Level at Nottingham Trent’s Student Union for an intimate performance in celebration of his debut album There’s Nothing But Space, Man!

The album was released the day of the concert so the atmosphere was very celebratory and excited.

Sam did not have a support act so everyone attending the gig was there to see him and his snazzy glitter jumpsuit.

His performance was incredible, with a mixture of slow heartfelt songs and upbeat dance party tracks which got the crowd pumped up and dancing around the packed out venue.

He was so grateful to be performing his brand new album to a crowd who were as equally grateful to be watching him after his success during Eurovision.

Sam Ryder came second in this years Eurovision song contest with his song Space Man which got to number one in the UK charts as everyone celebrated the success that the song brought us during Eurovision.

As a performer Sam comes across as very confident and very appreciative to be on stage engaging with an audience who enjoy his vocals, you could see the joy in his face more and more as the concert went on.

His set consisted of party tunes as well as some slower songs which fitted the set list perfectly, maintaining the happy and joyous vibe going throughout the hour long gig.

Sam was dressed in an all black glittery space themed jumpsuit accessorised with a pearl necklace and white chunky trainers, which fitted the tone of the concert perfectly.

Overall his performance was incredible, with his snazzy jumpsuit and happy, lucky vibe making for a very enjoyable experience.
